Business Development Manager

Qatar has an economy which is based on Oil and Gas revenues and a solid investment policy from the Government. The Qatari government is growing whilst the rest of the world is suffering from the Credit Crunch.

My client is a leading bank here in Doha, Qatar and is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities;
- He is responsible for establishing new relationship both through direct and syndication within Qatar and also in other Overseas branches for the purpose of enhancing the bank’s revenue and make available the various products and services of the bank to the prospective and existing customers.
- Preparation of call report on such visits and appraises Department Head
- Ongoing scrutiny of earning status of the borrow able accounts, ensuring compliance to the guidelines issued by Central Bank of Qatar
- Liaising with Central Bank and other Regulatory Authorities in respect of operations and to ensure compliance to the Prudential Regulatory guidelines issued by them for banks
- Review of the Audit and Inspection reports of QCB and also of the Internal Audit Dept of H/O and ensure compliance to the observations and deficiencies pointed out by them in their respective report, within a time bound manner
- Structuring of new products and services for the Corporate Sector in line with the market practice prevalent to improve the growth in the business and income of the bank
- Identify good and remunerative Syndication opportunity and solicit business and establish relationship through this route

Basic Requirements;
- Degree in Business / banking / Finance.
- 7 – 10 years experience is a MUST within the banking sector
- Marketing capabilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Relevant experience is a MUST
- Arabic would be an advantage
