Our Client, a leading Bank in Qatar, is currently looking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer, who will be responsible for developing corporate policies for the Accounting, HR & Administration, IT & Operations departments in line with business strategy.
Position is based in Doha, Qatar
Key responsibilities
- Develop and Implement the strategy and business plans for Legal, IT, HR and Administration and Operations functions
- Design and implement programs and systems that will best optimize the Bank’s staff, strategy structure, processes and culture
- Prepare MIS reports and monitor Bank’s performance according to defined objectives
- Present budget reports and advise CEO and departments heads on budget controls
- Implement best-in-class Operations processes
- Review and approve the IT policies and acquisitions, based on requirements from all user departments
- Develop HR and Admin policies and ensure their communication to all Bank staff.
- Ensure compliance with the bank policies
- Manage, train and lead the Operations team.
- Minimum 12 years experience in banking or finance, of which at least 5 at top management or executive level
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related subject. Master degree will be a plus
- Very good knowledge of strategic planning, management concepts, best practices and regulatory requirements
- Problem solved oriented, with excellent analytical , planning and organizational skills
- High managerial exposure
- - Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and Arabic (preferred)
