Derivatives Legal Counsel – New Financial House
An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Legal Counsel to join a global financial house with an excellent reputation in the wealth arena and a strong footprint across the Middle East in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
As junior Counsel you will be collectively be responsible for the legal function in the Middle East with a reporting line into Europe, some travel will be necessary too for this role.
You must have a strong cross border transactional background in either financial or banking law, but more importantly you will be someone who is able to play a corporate part in an exciting role that requires plenty of dealings with the business.
The opportunity requires a lawyer who is fully trained and qualified preferably from a Magic Circle law firm who also has quality exposure either in house or at an international law firm in the Middle East.
You may have a minimum of 2 years|| PQE but this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying for the role.
Fluent spoken Arabic will be beneficial, but essentially, you must have the quality and exposure of either dealing with or working with the commercial and business side of a global financial institution.
