Health & Safety Manager

An occupational health & safety manager is required for my client who is the leading telecom solution provider to leading operators in the region.
Your main responsibility for this role will be to generate and follow systems, policies, tools and reports at the CU level as required by local legislation, government, local authorities group Policies, my clients group management system (EGMS) and our clients customers. You shall participate in the tendering process and customer meetings where H & S requirements are a prerequisite. You shall be the contact point for customers of the company and look after specific projects related H & S issues. You shall keep the organization informed of HS&E policies and assist with periodic inspections and audits of the work area; field operations, Network Rollout activities, and office environments. You shall lead all occupational health and safety activities and identify and report upon unsafe equipment, working conditions and practices as well as develop a positive H&S culture by promotion and participation in safety education and employee induction. For this role you should have a engineering degree or a degree in OH&S. You must have a broad understanding of occupational health and safety, with a telecom industry back-ground and working knowledge of OHSAS 18001. You must have a legal understanding on the HS&E area and work well under pressure. For this role you must have a minumum of 3 years experience.
