Our client, a leading IT Services Provider are looking to recruit a Business Solution Architect / Principle Consultant to join their SAP Consultancy practice
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Take a leadership role in engaging with key customers – portray a trusted-advisory role and represent SAP solutions and processes;
- Engage with C-level stake-holders in understanding business requirements, current solution landscape and propose new solutions and applications that provide enhanced value from customer perspective;
- Solution Definition: High-Level overall solution design, ‘Best of breed’ approach, design to budget. Technical/application assessments for projects in terms of feasibility, effort, risk.;
- Define & architect the design for custom solutions;
- Development: Main focus on high risk projects. Coaching of architects in corresponding subprojects. High level assessments of projects during specification/realization phase.;
- Improve/Optimize related processes, initiate innovative approaches;
- Quality Management: Participate in project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents.;
- Lead of project teams / Coaching: Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective project and line manager(s).;
- Hands-on experience on product areas, ability to create demo scripts and configure scenarios in SAP.;
- Create a compelling solution framework including the solution process landscape, integration touch-points and showcase business benefits / RoI calculations;
- Work on customer RFP’s with account teams, develop the necessary value-proposition and package the service offerings to land a winning deal;
- Provide expert consulting services for the customer’s projects around key solution areas;
- Work closely with account teams in prospecting new / increased opportunities and Engagements;
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, esp. in new / ramp-up solution deployment;
- Contribute to enhancing the knowledge management process within the industry – create business best practices, process flows, templates and support packaged service offerings where necessary;
- Participates in project reviews and creates action plans to bring escalated projects back on track.;
- Graduate / Post-Graduate degrees in Management, IT or Engineering areas;
- Certified / Trained in SAP solutions with minimum 5 end-to-end project experience;
- Cross-solution knowledge preferred (ERP, SRM, CRM, BOBJ, EAM, etc.);
- Deep hands-on deployment experience in at least two SAP modules, preferably in the Logistics and Finance areas, is a must.
- Good knowledge of SAP solution framework, industry solution areas, ASAP methodology and Solution Manager
- Possesses deep industry or cross solution expertise and is proactively engaged in the related market trends
- Adept at handling project communications, capable of having c-level interactions and engaging with senior management stake-holders, managing expectations and proposing value-based offerings
- Knows the current SAP solution portfolio to be able to design solution scenarios and landscapes
- Strong presentation and communication skill set necessary – ability to comprehend business requirements and create a strong value for the proposed solution architecture
- Has insight into competitors’ solution portfolios and is able to position SAP’s against these
- Has a sound knowledge about SAP’s Midterm Strategy for Field Services Consulting.
- Possesses high level analytical and problem solving skills
- Has a good reputation
- Brings along at least 12-15 years of industry / project management / solution consulting experience and has proven his/her project experience in multiple SAP customer projects.
- Excellent understanding of industry business processes, solutions and applications, and ability to comprehend and apply business process best practices
