My client, a top tier bank in Qatar, is currently recruiting a Senior Credit Analyst to join its expanding corporate credit team; Reporting to the Head of Credit analysis, the jobholder will be in charge of performing credit assessments for a large portfolio of corporate customers, Project/Real Estate transactions and Equity Investments.
Position is based in Doha, Qatar
The main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare Credit applications trough analysis of financial statements and economic environment
- Carry out quality credit assessment and present solutions to new and existing clients
- Assure compliance to the bank credit policy
- Monitor, assess, approve and submits approval for credit limits
- Monitor credit risk within the assigned portfolio
- Follow-up on credit facility recovery, monitor and regularize issues related to irregularity or defaults
- Provide due diligence and research support through data-mining and data validation from external sources on both new and existing borrowers
- Assist in special projects such as bank limit policy, credit ratings / risk grading policy
- Co-ordinate with the business units to support marketing needs from a credit perspective. Actively participate in achieving the objectives of the credit department
- a Bachelor Degree in Banking, Finance or related subject; additional credit training will be a plus
- Minimum 5 years experience in banking, of which at least 3 in a corporate credit function
- Very good knowledge of credit evaluation
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English-Arabic will a plus
