Senior Manager- Advisory, Performance Improvement – Oil & Gas Sector

As a member of the Middle East Oil & Gas Practice, you||ll build valued business relationships in the market and internal peers and develop a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities. You||ll lead presentations and proposals for medium complex projects or elements of highly complex projects, and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals. Drawing on your skills and experience, you||ll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You||ll package overall project findings into clear, concise, high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems. Driving improvements in business processes, you||ll serve as a role model for quality and risk management and make sure that project teams understand and comply with EY quality and risk management guidelines. You||ll communicate with EY engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff build sustainable competencies. Client responsibilities • Participate in and, as required, lead engagements • Manage financial aspects of client engagements and communicate significant issues, fees, and estimates to complete to partners and clients • Assist partners and directors with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships • Understand our full service offerings and people capabilities and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients • Build strong internal relationships with in Advisory and across other services. People responsibilities • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training finance professionals • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills • Understand, follow and communicate workplace policies and procedures to all levels of staff Technical skills requirements You||ll have knowledge and experience of leading practices in a number of the following areas: • 15+ year•s experience, having working internationally • 5+ years business/industry experience with International Oil Company or National Oil Company with a preference for upstream • 5+ years consulting experience in Oil and Gas indus • Deep process knowledge across Accounts Payables/Receivables, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Treasury, Month End Close, Budgeting and operational finance • Experience in Shared services design, transition and operations • Data collection, process mapping, benchmarking, and KPI definition and reporting to support process re-engineering • Proven track record of delivering projects - minimised the impact on the business by ensuring a robust project plan, strong executive sponsorship, communication plan, staff retention plan and change control process were in place • Excellent presentation skills • Experienced in managing people and teams • Experience in business and proposal development • Finance/Economics related and MBA degrees (recognized universities) • Fluent written and spoken English, bi-lingual Arabic is a plus Who we are The oil and gas industry is constantly changing.
