Our client, develops innovative energy management solutions primarily for the telecommunications industry is currently seeking to recruit a Solution Manager The Project- and Solution Manager will be responsible for Solution Management, Marketing and Project Management for the company’s on-grid and off-grid energy solutions for the telecommunication industry and its partners. This includes all product planning, development, marketing, and performance activities for company energy solution portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa region. The solution manager will interact with all internal groups and have a customer-facing role. The disciplinary reporting will be towards the company’s Managing Director of the Middle East region and the functional reporting towards the company’s Head of Sales & Solution Management based in Munich, Germany. Responsibilities

Rapidly develop expert knowledge of company’s energy solutions, product lines and reflecting these within the market trends, the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and consumer insight;
Understand the business model of the product lines, services and consumer needs in the marketplace;
Translate customer energy solution requirements and needs into best-in-class solutions (based on company’s product portfolio) for the customer;
Add customer specific components to increase local content;
Liaise with HQ Solution Management and R&D to qualify local content ;
Manage service and subsystem delivery with external third party vendors;
Articulate solution positioning to the marketing team and ensure accuracy throughout the implementation;
Support the Managing Director of the Middle East region in the business development activities, including customer presentations, energy balance calculations, quotations and solution definition;
Support the Managing Director in the development of solution positioning and pricing strategies for the region;
Acting as company’s Project Manager towards partners and customers;

Executing and managing the following aspects of the company’s Solution roll-out:

Site Survey;
Equipment delivery – Support in the logistic process and control the delivery for the relevant rollout project;
Installation & commissioning;
Project management incl. coordination of local Partner Project Manager (if applicable) and all involved project resources ;
Quality and cost management;

Maintaining and developing relationships with Partners and Customers project members;

Support and training of service and installation companies;
Responsible for the Project Planning, Controlling and Reporting;
Support the Managing Director in managing the contract with a proper contract-, claim-, change- and risk-management to deliver the company’s solution in time, on budget and within the quality expectations of the customer;

Requirements

Engineering education, technical background;
Mobile telecommunications know-how and experience;
Understanding of energy requirements in the telecommunications industry;
Experience in project management and technical service support;
Customer-oriented and service-minded;
International work experience;
Team player;
Fluent English- and Arabic, other languages an advantage;
Flexible and willing to travel extensively and for long periods;
Must have full passport and drivers license;
Willingness to start on a freelancer / consultancy basis;
