Our client, a multi-national consulting organisation is looking to recruit a Systems Network Infrastructure Support Specialist to be based in RiyadhPrimary Responsibilities Experience in an infrastructure environment based on Intel servers, Unix, NASSAN Excellent knowledge of Windows 2003, 2008 server, and Unix operating systems Experience in the building, maintaining and troubleshooting of servers Ability to troubleshootresolve issues with desktopserver hardware and software Maintain, monitor, and support current and new server deployments Perform periodic system audits and health checks to assure compliance and availability Support users at multiple remote locations Manage backup environment Understanding of High Availability infrastructure concept and implementation Experience troubleshooting TCPIP Understanding of networking components and Cisco based LANWAN Understanding of firewall and security configurationimplementation Track incidents through to resolution
Personal CriteriaEducation Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent.Experience 4-5 years' experience in technical support role, preferably an intermediate system specialist with intermediate server skills.Technical Skills Ability to communicate technical information in a concise, understandable and accurate fashion to non-technical personnel Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutionsCompetencies (Soft skills) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and applications Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions Strong customer service focus - understanding the 'service' nature of Technical Support Flexible and adaptable to working additional hours andor overtime and act as site support for all Infrastructural and systems components for Incidents which require off hours andor periods of time to resolve issues of a technical nature
